iOS for Apple devices was available for downloading already on September 17. New 1,4 GB operational system is available for iPhone models starting from iPhone 4s, iPad models starting from iPad 2, iPod touch models starting with 5th model and iPad mini. Interface of new iOS has not changed much comparing to previous version. Functional opportunities are greatly improved though.
Developers added new fitnes application “Health”, which allows to count users’ daily steps, amount of calories burnt, distance covered, as well as check blood pressure and measure puls beat. To send voice mail and multimedia file now is much easier and faster. New QuickType tool has improved the function of T9 acelerated text typing. Improved tool analyzes the context and offers different typing options. Unfortnately, Russian language is not supported at the moment.
Functions Spotlight are improved as well. Now user can use App Store, iTunes Store and safari for the information and applications. iOS 8 has new a function to recognize music using the voice command. With iOS camera will have new photo mode and additional tools for image processing – to regulate brightness, contrast, etc. New OS offers to look for a photo in the device memory using the keyword. It aso offers access to the iCloud Drive, where user is able to password. Now it is possible to set up the password also for other applications.
One more new tool is Family Sharing, which enables to share calendar notes, photos and purchases in iTunes, iBooks and App Store. One account will be able to serve up to 6 devices.
