Finally, we have on the news- the much awaited Facebook at work. Tests are presently being carried out in hundreds of companies including the very popular ones like Club Med and the RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland). We can expect a rollout of this fantabulous application on or before 2016.
The working of this application will be more or less like the Facebook, but the messages, posts and other contents will be available to the users with company work accounts. A Facebook spokesman has supposed to have said that already three hundred companies are part of it including Coldwell Banker, Heniken etc and they are hoping for a bigger rollout in 2016.
Furthermore the director of Facebook at work- Julien Codorniou said that “Ninety five percent of what we developed in Facebook is adopted by Facebook at work. “ From which we can conclude that more or less it will be the same. It will have additional facilities like an advanced built in translation tool, which is aimed at employee communications across the world. All the additional tools and features are very easy to use and would not require any training.
The spokesman is also believed to have said that in theory they are planning to build a much more collaborative, One Stop shop kind of a tool that can theoretically replace e-mails, newsletters etc. 2016 is not very far from now. Let us wait and watch.
