An advanced approach towards artificial intelligence.
The thing about robots or artificial intelligence is that, it is very plastic or artificial. It is a bit too fast or a bit too slow, either ways it doesn’t feel real. Seems like the phrase “ Get Real” has been haunting the artificial intelligence for quite some time. So, now a couple of researches or scientists are working on it.
A computational model has now been created by the researchers, this model allows the artificial intelligence to learn in the human speeds. An article was published in the Journal Science last year, on this matter.
Weird is the world you could say, people are trying to learn at computer speeds and now the artificial intelligence want to learn at human speeds.
What does the model do?
This recently developed model enables the Artificial intelligence to recognize the human handwritten characters, just as fast as the humans could recognize. The Artificial Intelligence powered systems were only able to do the reckoning from the audio and visuals after they were fed with thousands of samples. Meanwhile the human beings need only a few samples before they perceive or learn things.
Now yet others are working on reducing the number of samples required by the Artificial Intelligence. A reversed approach to the human thinking was applied by the researchers from the University of Toronto and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Artificial Intelligence Algorithm was developed for the same approach, which is believed to require fewer samples.
Can it be a menace?
Artificial Intelligence so far did not pose any threat. A machine cannot simply out smart a human, who happen to have created it. Machines may get better with time, in the tasks they are programmed to do, and it does not pose as a threat or substitute for human thinking. What are the odds even if they outsmart humans? You see, the dolphins are a very smart species, but that does not necessarily mean that they are a menace.
