Google Street View is expanding borders

Google Street View became popular during last two years and Internet giant is expanding the borders. Already now it is possible to see a street view from a tiny village on the world map. Turn came to the Arabian Desert. Pictures of boundless desert soon will be available on Google Street View.

If usually Google team is using cars with the installed camera with the equipment on the top to capture street views, for desert landscapes capturing camels will be used. Liwa Desert located in the United Arab Emirates and stretches its borders for 62 miles. Liwa Desert is interesting place, as it has up to 130 feet high dunes which indicate that this place was inhabitant in the late Stone Age. Liwa Desert is hiding the oasis where date farms are located. It slowly becomes a tourist attraction.

Liwa Desert is not the first difficult reachable place where Google Street View team has been working. The large effort was made to make a view of the North Pole area and the Galapagos Islands surroundings. Our Dubai designers company will be following this project and will keep you updated on it.
