Bleep is believed to be the securest messaging app ever.
Bleep is a chat client by Bit torrent and it was disclosed somewhere around the second week of July, 2014. Just like any other chat client Bleep offers text, voice and video communications. Then why Bleep? – you might ask. Well, Bleep makes your meta data highly confidential. Yes, you are right, nobody can read your messages or even track down the meta data. Bleep does not involve any servers. A direct connection is made in a decentralized manner directly to the person you are communicating with. The Bleep is said to become an important tool for highly confidential communications like, confidential business information sharing, cops sharing private dispatches and the journalists sharing secrets with the sources, etc. It also allows an incognito signing up that does not require any personal identifiers like email or phone number.
Last month, the tool completed its 3rd trimester in alpha testing and apps for PC, iOS, Android and OS X were developed. However, the project is not yet ready for an official release. Bit torrent will have the beta testing tracks set and executed before the tools official release – according to Farid Fadaie, Bit torrent’s senior director of product development.
This is how it works:
To start using Bleep, you just need to choose a nickname – that’s all. Bleep will not ask you any kind of personal identity for authentication. The encryption keys used for peer-peer connection is generated automatically by Bleeps services. It also features a special service called whisper. Whispers are messages that live only for 25 seconds. They are in an advanced ephemeral format where user names are disassociated from the contents. Which means either the content or the nickname is visible at a time. The nickname is smudged out when the content is made visible and the content is blurred when the nickname is identifiable. However, the critics are blaming it to be inspired from Snapchat.
The Bleep’s free calls are also end-end encrypted and the clouds are not present in the connection. So, there’s no chance of leaks by hook or by crook. Finally we have an easy to use messaging platform where we can share info without having to compromise on the confidentiality.
