Lenovo is best known as worlds largest personal computer manufacturer. However, its quest for new technologies is never ending. On Thursday, May 28th Lenovo launched a couple of its new inventions. These inventions were disclosed at the Global Events. The smart watch with a holographic lens and the second screen showing panoramic view as well as a smart phone with laser keyboard were the show stealer gadgets.
The event was held by Lenovo, aimed to showcase some of its developmental progress. Nevertheless, the crowd was taken aback by its dramatic discoveries. The technology that puts Lenovo into the spotlight was The “ Magic View”. It is a dual screen Virtual Reality wearable that is presently incorporated into Lenovo’s Smart Watch. A small micro-projector is built into the watch that can project the images/videos right into the user’s eyes. Apart from this it has other rare functionalities to track steps, read messages, etc. Already, hundred plus patents were filed for this product by the firm. A smart phone cum laser projector was also displayed by Yang Yuanqing, the CEO of the firm. Messages can be sent to this particular phone with a Virtual Keyboard, which can be projected on the desk/wall. It can also project images on any surface that is big enough.
Few of the business tycoons who attended the show are: Microsoft Corp. CEO Satya Nadella, Intel Corp. CEO Brian Krzanich, Baidu, Inc. founder and CEO Robin Li. Though some of the critics have been very harsh on reviewing the products, the technology still fascinates tech-lovers. Undoubtedly, Lenovo has pioneered the market for the last 30 years, yet it might need some serious luck this time.
