Some IT experts do not consider Apple Watch as a breakthrough, because this gadget is not hundred percent wireless – in order to recharge it the wire should be connected. the CEO of the company Energous clearly see the day not in the late future, when wires won’t be in use for recharging purposes. He clearly sees a day, when all our smartphones, watches, laptops and tablets will be recharging in a wireless way as soon as they are at home or in the car. Company Energous is trying to develop the technology called WattUp which will work in the radius of 15 feet as a recharger for electronic devices.
The power will be send to devices via radio frequency transmission. The wireless transmitter works as a standard router sending radio signals to the devices which can receive them, such as smartphones. Every single WattUp device is able to recharge up to 24 devices. The recharging process will work based on the software of enabling and disabling charges. The maximum amount of power which can be delivered by WattUp is 4 watts and one WattUp device is able to recharge 4 gadgets with maximum power at the same time. To stream 4 watts the WattUp device should be located within 5 feet of the chargeable gadget. Withing the range of 5 feet the speed of recharging process is the same, as when using a wire. To stream 2 watts the charger is covering the distance of 5 to 10 feets and in order to stream 1 watt the distance can be increased up to 10 to 15 feet.
Energous is not the first company which started to develop this idea. WiTricity and uBeam have been contributing to the development of such technology. Therefore it is not a surprise, that wireless charging technologies might appear in the market already by the end of 2015. Our Dubai web design company is looking forwad for this moment, are you?
