This news goes out to the technology appreciating music lovers. Here is the ARC, a musical board for an ultimate interactive musical experience, nothing like what you have seen before. Truly, an out of the box! Let us jam it…
The south by southwest (sxsw) festivals 2016 took the people by amazement with this very smart instrument. Well, it’s better to not call it that way because it actually consists of not 1 or 2 but 5 brilliant instruments. Not violin, guitar, piano, drums or which ever instrument that you have seen or witnessed before. It took five uniquely developed instruments to create this musical extravaganza. People went all awe, wow over it, like over and over again.
What is this ARC?
Here, take a look at it. As you can see, it is a sound board with five instruments arranged within. Interesting to look at, is it not? One of its instruments is similar to a mixer, it will transform you into a Dj, just step up the board and jam it. It can also mutate elements of an existing song to create a brand new track.
How does it work?
First of all, it is connected to the computer which playing a basic music continuously. The instruments within the Arc are equipped with tons of tiny little sensors, like all the five instruments. These sensors are responsible for basically capturing the motion and making changes to the captured elements in a song. Modulation, melody, chords, sound intensity etc…
Additionally, the ARC is equipped with twenty speakers, neatly aligned around it in a U-form, via which the participating member can hear all the sounds across the room.
None of the five instruments, even has a resemblance to the traditional instruments. A couple of sticks, sacks, tins, and a crystal ball, least to me it looks somewhat like that (in a nice way).
What is so great about it?
Technically speaking, you do not require to have any musical knowledge for it. Just, step up and start using it like a pro already.
That is all we know about the Arc which was just another set up at the SXSW that has a reputation of offering people an ultimate experience combining both music and technology. Keep checking this news blog for updates.
