Mobile link sharing is not very popular as it is a lengthy procedure. People avoid sharing links in mobile because it involves switching between the apps and copy pasting the links. To address this problem Facebook comes up with their new “Add A Link” Mobile status search engine. To the users it will look like “Add a link” option, in which they can place their queries and Facebook will show a list of all related links along with a sneak-peak of their contents. The links can be directly shared from the list. This internal app keyword search engine is currently put into testing and is made available to only a small group of iOS users in the U.S. According to Facebook, once the search engine available to the mass, people will not have to google for a link to share. Facebook also adds, that it is indexed over one trillion posts, allowing people to search for links that have been shared with them. It is more a search engine powered by data that Google does not have. However, there is no information on when it will be available to all and it is also not very clear if the search engine is designed for everyone in the world.
