During the annual F8 developer conference in San Francisco Facebook officials announced the launch of its Messenger platform. This marks the transformation of Messenger APP into the complete and independent platform. Facebook officials introduced the tools, which enable team of developers to create applications.
Developers added to the Messenger the option to download new applications. Facebook is following the aim of creating not only the best messenger, but to offer customers a tool based on the separate platform for the wide range of purposes.
In a few months Facebook is planning to launch new service for money transfer. In order to transfer the money the Messenger user have to fill in debit card details into account. Initially transfer will be possible for Visa and Master Card holders. According to Facebook representatives this services will be free of charge, however, available only in the territory if the United States. Once it proves its reliability, the services will be offered in other countries.
Negotiations are currently undergoing between Facebook and several news agencies regarding direct publication of information on Facebook pages. It will enable Facebook users to follow the recent news without leaving the social media application and waiting for the news page loading. Moreover, Messenger developers are considering the option of loading the high quality video and the video with the 360 degrees viewing angle. In addition Facebook plans to launch On This Day function for sending the user reminders about important dates and post in the timeline information from the fast.
