The U.K bloggers would probably miss it. What about the rest? Read on to find out…
The Facebook messenger service now has a twist. Yes, it is about the other inbox. They are soon going to remove the other inbox.
Facebook messenger service – Other inbox, where the Facebook members can receive messages from the people they are not friends with will soon be gone, in the next couple of days. Earlier, many of the members who reported spam and abuse were majorly relating to the other inbox. Facebook, now has taken an initiative to remove this messaging feature permanently.
So what happens after the other inbox is gone?
All the messages from the people who are not friends will be received as always but with a change. They will appear in the form of requests that can be either accepted or rejected. However, if your Facebook messenger app is synced to the contacts and if a non member contact happens to message you it is inevitable.
How much do you care?
Well, many of the members till date were not even aware of the other inbox. The number of non-aware members could be approximated to 1.8 billion. It was only accessible to those who log into Facebook via a browser. It served mainly like a blog for the U.K users. No, wonder that you and I never saw or heard of it before. The service is also known to have some technical glitches. Most of the aware members are known to deprecate it as most of the messages would have demotivating comments and even abuses, spam is a less affective term here. That’s all for the news this week. Let us hope that someday in the future all the Facebook services will be made global, available to everyone living anywhere in this planet.
