American concern Boeing – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of aircrafts, aero and defense equipment, has represented a new smartphone with the enhanced data protection. It is expected that this gadget will simplify the work of secret agencies. Manufacturer has already applied to the Federal Communications Commission of the United States and is awaiting a response. Name of the new gadget is Boeing Black.
The smartphone runs Android OS and works with two SIM cards. Size of the phone is slightly larger than smartphones from Apple. A key feature of Boeing Black is the ability to self-destruct. In case of break open all the data is automatically deleted from the memory of the phone. Moreover, gadget becomes inoperable. Special coating of the screws inside the device acts as a trigger to block further smartphone operation. However, the value of the new device is not only a superior data protection, but also the diversity of the functions. In addition to encrypting phone calls the device is equipped with other features important for secret military and defense agencies. First information about the development of the Boeing smartphone appeared in 2012 and the whole process of gadget development took 36 months.
